1. Data Stays On Your Computer
BidGovPro is a desktop application. Your opportunity data, subcontractor lists, proposals, contracts, and business profile are stored locally on your computer in an encrypted database. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on any server.
2. API Keys
Your SAM.gov, OpenAI, Claude, and Manus API keys are stored securely in your operating system credential vault (Windows Credential Manager). They are never written to plain text files or transmitted to us.
3. License Information
When you activate BidGovPro, your license key and a hardware fingerprint of your machine are sent to our licensing provider (Keygen.sh) for validation. This binds your license to your machine to prevent piracy. We receive your license key and activation status for support purposes.
4. Payment Information
Payments are processed by FastSpring, our payment provider. We do not see or store your credit card number. FastSpring provides us with your name, email, and purchase details for order fulfillment and license creation.
5. Third-Party Services
BidGovPro communicates directly with SAM.gov, USASpending.gov, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Manus APIs using your own API keys. These providers have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your data.
6. Auto-Updates
BidGovPro checks for updates automatically. The update check sends your current version number to our update server. No personal data is transmitted.
7. Website & Marketing Emails
When you request our free guide or use a form on this website, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, and a short description of your business — so we can send the resource you asked for and occasional emails about federal contracting and BidGovPro. We store this in our own database and do not sell it. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; you may also email us to request deletion of your information.
8. Referral & Affiliate Tracking
We operate an affiliate/referral program. If you arrive through a partner's referral link, we store a first-party cookie in your browser for up to 30 days to attribute a possible purchase to that partner. This cookie records only the partner's referral code — not your identity. If you make a purchase, we record the order and the referring partner so we can pay their commission; partners see aggregate statistics (such as click and conversion counts) but not your personal details beyond what is necessary to process a referral. You can clear this cookie at any time through your browser settings.
